Riverside Estates Newsletter September 2010
Dear Residents of Riverside Estates,
This community represents a large investment by the homeowners as well as the owners. We are proud of the community and want you to be proud to call it your home. We encourage all who live and work here to make this their community.
To maintain the quality we all desire requires a set of rules and regulations that may appear restrictive but are meant to protect all homeowners and their rights and increase the communities livability. To ensure this protection and further attractiveness of the community any homeowner that does not abide by these rules and regulations will be asked to move their home immediately.
1. Parking
A reminder that only two vehicles are allowed per lot and overnight parking in the street or lawn is not allowed. Guests may park by the garage on the east side, shelter house or a dead end strip on the west side.
2. Lawn Maintenance
Grass is to be mowed and kept trimmed from skirting. If the grass grows over 6” it will be mowed at your expense of $15. The City of Wamego asks that grass clippings be not blown into the street both because of cosmetic and safety issues. As clippings wash into storm sewers and plug or restrict the flow of rain runoff during a storm. This could then cause flooding or damage of public and private property.
3. Pets
The City of Wamego is starting to enforce the pet rules. All pet owners must abide by the following:
• There is a two pet limit per household in Wamego
• All pets outside the home must be on a leash
• All pet waste must be cleaned up immediately
• All pets in the storm shelter must be in a pet carrier
• All pets must be tagged, otherwise they will be removed from the park
4. Trash
Containers must be out of direct sight and can only be at the curb the night before scheduled pickup. No trash can be put out ahead of time or stored behind the shed. The county is having a free trash disposal day Saturday, October 2nd 8:30am-4:30pm. Contact the county for more information.
5. Miscellaneous
• All homes must have a lot number that is visible to emergency vehicles.
• No disabled or vehicles without current tags are allowed on the premises.
The city has agreed to dig out ditches at the entrance of the park. This should solve the problem with standing water and ice in the winter. We are currently approaching the post office to install newer mailboxes on the west side of the park.
Last open spot on the west side is being filled with a 2001 Shultz 16×74 home. It will be available for sale shortly. If you or anyone you know has interest, please contact us.
We are committed to improving appearance, safety and cleanliness of the Riverside Estates community and would greatly appreciate your support and effort to do so.
Sincerely,
Tim & Melissa
